フラッグ作成講座後編です。
テーマは棒です。
今回使うのは噂のグニャグニャ棒です。
この棒の名前は塩ビ（塩化ビニール）管です。
この塩ビ管なんですが種類がたくさんあり、しかもしなり方が異なるので一つ一つ説明します。
まず多いのがVPですこれは一般配管用で肉厚が厚いもの、同じようで肉薄のものがVUです。
水道や配水管に使われていて色は灰色です。
あと水道用でＨＩ（HIVP）という衝撃に強いものがあります（僕は今これを使ってます）、色は黒に近い紺色です。
他にＨＴ（これはかなり堅いのでまず使いません）は耐熱用で色はえび茶色、ＨＩもＨＴも両方とも肉厚です。
あとＶＥというのもあり、これは電気工事用の電線管で、ＶＵと同じように肉薄です。色がアイボリー（代表のセカンドユニの色）の他に灰色や茶色等があり好きな色を選ぶことができます。
太さは外径が１８ミリのものがいいです。
これはＶＰ１３等と表示してます。
内径が１３ミリということです。
ＶＥ（薄肉）ではＶＥ１４と呼ばれており同じ１８ミリの外径でも呼び方の数字が違ってきます。
ホームセンターに行けば水道管や配線コーナーにこれらが2メートルや1メートルで販売されています。
値段は2メートルで300円ほどで、高いものではないです。
長さを伸ばしたい時については、ソケットというパイプ状のものがあります。
ここにパイプを差し込めばつながりますがすぐに外れます。
なのでビニールテープでぐるぐる巻きにして固定している人が多いです。
そこでお勧めなのが、片側がソケットと同じようで、もう片方がネジになっているものです。
雄ネジのものと雌ネジのものと作っておけば、スタジアムで簡単につなげられて丈夫です。
雄のものをバルブソケット（下写真左）、雌のものを水栓ソケット（下写真右）といいます。
ただしパイプはしっかりと接着剤でくっつけておきましょう。
ここでもサイズは内径でいいますから１３のものを選ぶ必要があります。
これは見た目ではなく、確認して購入してください。
実際にはめてみるか店員さんに聞くのが確実です。
接着剤（これも塩ビに使えることを確認してください）もジョイントも塩ビ管の隣などに置いてあります。
また塩ビを切断する時はお店の人に言うか、塩ビも切れる（切れることを確認してください）のこぎりで切りましょう。
このバルブソケットと水栓ソケットをつなげた場合激しく振ると極まれにポッキリ折れることがあるのでちょっと値段が高くなりますがネジが真鍮になってるものを選んだほうがいいかもしれません。基本はVP13(VE14)ですが、旗の大きさが縦180㎝を超えるようですと棒を1段階太くしてVP16（VE16）がいいと思います。
しなり方を比べると
VU＞VP＝HI＞HT
の順にしなります。
VEはおそらくVUとVPの間くらいだと思います。
実際のゴール裏ではVP、HI、VEを使ってる人が多かったです。最後に棒の長さの問題ですが
縦100ぐらいなら2ｍのVP13
縦150ぐらいなら3ｍのVP13
縦200ぐらいなら4ｍのVP16
程度がいいと思います。
横がどの程度の長さになるかで棒の長さが変わるのでこれも参考程度に捉えてください。ビッグアーチは客席とピッチが遠くスタジアムが大きいのでフラッグがある程度（180×210くらい）大きくないと選手からも目立ちにくいのが難点ですが、布1枚を棒にくくりつけて振るだけでもスタジアムの雰囲気は一変します。
ホーム、アウェーに関わらず相手を飲み込むほどの圧倒的な雰囲気を作り出すのは、サポーターの手にかかっています。
我々サポーターは選手に直接手を貸し戦うことは出来ないですが、試合の空気を変えることはできます。
その空気を出来るだけサンフレッチェの勝利に結びつけることが出来るよう共に声を出し、手拍子をしたり、旗を振ったりスタジアムの空気を変えていきましょう。
