2007年03月23日 【U-22代表】マレーシア遠征記
3/13(火)～3/15（木）にかけて、Ｕ－２２日本代表の試合を観にマレーシアまで行ってきました！
お目当ては、もちろん我らが青山敏弘選手です！日本でスタジアムの場所を調べ、飛行機と宿を押さえて、ひとりマレーシアへ。
向こうは夏！ 夜９時前に現地に着きましたが、気温は２５℃を超えていました。
ガイドブック片手に、バスで１時間かけて市内へ。この日は、首都ペタリンジャヤの郊外にあるホテルに泊まりました。
シャワーの使い方がわからず悪戦苦闘。翌日の朝ごはんは、割と日本人の口に合うと思いました。
午前中は軽く観光。博物館や、宮殿などをまわりました。そして、スタジアムへ。
ペタリンジャヤから車で３０分程の郊外にあるのですが、タクシーもスタジアムの場所がわからないようなので、
かなり早めに着くようにしました。
試合３時間前くらいから、かなりの雨が降っていました。
観客席は２５，０００人収容とのことですが、長椅子をかなり詰めないと入れないでしょう。スタジアム内はマレーシア人よりも、在マレーシア日本人のほうが多く入っていました。
選手がアップに入ってくると、緊張感とワクワク感が、だんだんとこみあげてきます。
選手がアップをしただけですぐ芝がめくれてしまい、ケガがとても心配でした。そうこうしているうちに、気の知れた仲間が日本から続々到着。やっと日本語が話せます。
計１０人ほど集まりました。試合は２－１の辛勝。勝つことが大事、内容が伴わなければダメ、悪いコンディションの中でよくやった、
こんなんで最終予選戦えるのか、ケガ人が出なくてよかった、いろいろ捉え方はあると思います。
個人的には、最終予選を戦うために繋がる試合となってほしかったのですが、収穫はわずか。
ポジティブには捉えられない試合でした。肝心の青山選手はというと、サンフレッチェでみているいつもの青山選手と変わらないプレー。
よく顔を出しボールをさばき、時に前線まで攻撃参加。
守備でもしっかりバランスを保ち、相手を潰していました。そしてなにより、覚えている限り
青山選手の大きな接触プレーはありませんでした。
芝が悪くケガが怖かったのですが、大丈夫なようです。試合後は、日本からの仲間と市内へ出て夕食。
おいしくて安い料理とビールに夢中になり、慌てて思い出して写真を撮った頃には、すべて食べ終わっていました。
遠征をしていて、最高のこの瞬間をたっぷり味わいました。青山選手は、Jリーグ、五輪代表とで疲れもみえますがしっかり踏ん張ってもらい、私達サポーターは
